Since its inception in 1973, The Ocean Race has established itself as the ultimate test of a team's endurance and a remarkable human adventure like no other. For nearly half a century, this event has captivated the imaginations of some of the most renowned sailors and served as the proving ground for legends in the sport.

In its 14th edition, The Ocean Race will showcase two distinguished classes of vessels: the foiling IMOCA and the one-design VO65. Embarking from Alicante, Spain on January 15, 2023, this unparalleled race will culminate in Genova, Italy during the early summer of the same year.

Over a span of six months, this unprecedented race will navigate a route encompassing nine iconic cities across the globe. A highlight of this historic event is an arduous leg, spanning an impressive distance of 12,750 nautical miles—a month-long marathon commencing from Cape Town and concluding in Itajaí—an unparalleled feat within the event's 50-year history.
